Here at NorthStar Real Estate, our goal is to serve each client with utmost professionalism, integrity, and outstanding customer service. Our relationship with our clients is the highest priority. Our Firm

Tobie McDonnell with NorthStar Real Estate has been helping clients buy and sell homes in and around the Helena, Montana area since 2010. A new adventure presented itself in 2017 and Tobie McDonnell opened her own independently owned and operated brokerage. No Franchise meant more opportunity to serve her clients, her way!

Tobie says, “The name ‘NorthStar Real Estate’ perfectly describes the job I do every day. No different than the North Star has served to guide people over land, I have been focused on ‘Guiding’ home buyers and sellers gently though the process since day one. As of January, 2024 Cheri Flesher purchased NorthStar Real Estate and Tobie continues to be a part of the team. The new address for NorthStar Real Estate is 15 Rocky Mountain Drive, Clancy, Mt.

Evaluating Needs

Evaluating your specific needs and wants and locating properties that fit those specifications. 

Budget & Pre-Qualifying

Assisting you in determining the amount of money you can afford (pre-qualify), and showing properties in that price range which will qualify for the loan type you are obtaining

Search for Homes

We here at NorthStar believe you deserve better than an automated robot searching homes on your behalf, a personalized search option is waiting for you! Please contact anyone of us below to set up a one on one appointment and we will be in contact with you within 12 hours! (Usually MUCH sooner).

Viewing Properties

Assisting in viewing properties; Accompanying you to the showings, or even previewing the properties on your behalf, to insure the identified specifications are met. 

Help You Make Informed Decisions

Researching the selected properties to identify any problems or issues to help you make an informed decision prior to making an offer to purchase the property.

Putting in Offers

Advising you on structuring an appropriate offer to purchase the selected property, and presenting the offer to the Seller’s agent and the Seller on the Buyer’s behalf. We will help negotiating on behalf of the Buyer to help obtain the identified property, keeping the Buyer’s best interest in mind.

Negotiating through the contract

Negotiating and advising as the contract moves through its many contingencies.

suggest Qualified vendors

Providing a list of potential qualified vendors (e.g. inspectors, mortgage officers, carpenters, etc.) should any of these services be needed.

Representing you

Most importantly, fully representing the Buyer throughout the real estate transaction. 

Sellers Agent

To ease the Seller’s burden NorthStar Real Estate is dedicated to shifting much of the work involved in preparing to sell your home from you, the Seller, to ourselves. Below is our action plan when you list your home with us.

Property Profile

We will order (at no cost to you) a property profile to help reduce your risk of any title problems at closing.

Staging

Statistics show that staged homes MAY sell faster and possibly for a higher price. Always wanting to put our best foot forward, we will help present your home in its best light.  We will help identify areas of concern and offer tips for showings.

Pricing

We will assist you with pricing your home based on a comparative market analysis. This will help you to set the best price on your home so it will sell within your time frame.

Yard Signs

The yard sign is crucial to drawing in potential buyers. We will place one of our yard signs on your property to help draw in prospective buyers when it is listed.

Lock Box

The more convenient a home is to show, the faster a buyer can make a decision. We will place a lock box on your property to increase showings and provide you with the security of knowing who has shown your home.  Each and every time the lockbox is opened your agent will receive an email. This makes tracking the showings and getting feedback more reliable.

Multiple Listing Service (MLS)

By far the best tool we have!! We will enter your home’s information into the MLS, giving your home exposure to over 400 Realtor’s in the Helena area!

Counter Display

We will prepare an informational notebook containing most things a buyer will want to know; survey (if available), utilities, covenants, homeowner’s association information, pre-inspection information, property profile and more. This information will give buyer’s the confidence to make an offer and write a contract.

Transaction Management

We will manage the details of your transaction to ensure your transaction is executed properly and closes on time so you can move on schedule. Being pro-active and making sure communication between all parties is happening will keep your transaction on track.
